The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Tony Beddison AC.

Tony was a visionary Chair of the RCH and dedicated member of the RCH Foundation Board who leaves behind a great legacy, having worked tirelessly to champion the build of the current state-of-the-art hospital.

Tony, wife Robyn and the Beddison family were also generous donors to the RCH Foundation, with particular focus on supporting our Neurology Department. Their immense philanthropic contribution to the RCH and the wider community is inspirational and continues to change lives.

As a successful businessman, Tony made his mark in staffing and recruitment, leading the Beddison Group since 1977.

For his service to business and passionate commitment to the community, Tony was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2002 and awarded the Centenary Medal in 2003. In 2016, he was made a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC).
