Constable Kenny Koala supports the RCH

By gum, it’s Leading Senior Constable Kenny Koala!

RCH patients had the exciting opportunity to meet our favourite marsupial Australian Federal Police (AFP) officer. Constable Kenny’s silly jokes brought big smiles to all the kids that met him, like 15-month-old Theo.

Kenny was joined by his friends from the AFP and Victoria Police who are gearing up for the Australian Police Rugby League Tri-Series, an interstate police rugby tournament which is fundraising for the RCH.

The Affiliated States and Territories Storm Police Rugby League, of which Victoria Police is a member, is supported by NRL team Melbourne Storm. Melbourne Storm Fullbank Cameron Munster joined Kenny’s crew for the day to meet some rugby fans on the wards.

The Tri-Series kicks off Sunday 26 June 2016 at AAMI Park, Melbourne with the Affiliated States and Territories Storm Police Rugby League taking on the Queensland Police Service Rugby League at 1.45pm. The game is the curtain raiser to the Melbourne Storm v Wests Tigers round 16 NRL match.

On Monday 27 June 2016, the Queensland Police Service Rugby League takes on the NSW Police Rugby League 5pm at Gosch’s Paddock. The final match is held on Tuesday 28 June 2016 when the Affiliated States and Territories Storm Police Rugby League take on NSW Police Rugby League 4.30pm at Gosch’s Paddock.
