When RCH doctor and long distance cycling enthusiast Mick Creati started planning his latest ride, he knew that this time it would be for more than the thrill of the challenge.
Luck would have it that he attended a talk by the Chronic Illness Peer Support (ChIPS) Program Manager Meagan Hunt on their need for funding support.
ChIPS is a vibrant program of camps, social events and leadership opportunities allowing young people with chronic illness to accomplish what can be difficult in their everyday lives. Knowing that some of his patients were ChIPPERS, Mick knew that he’d found the right cause.
Mick’s plan was to cycle his recumbent bike 4,000kms across the Nullarbor from Perth to Sydney in the hope of raising $20,000 for ChIPS and, after months of planning, Mick is officially on his way! However, he needs your help to make his journey a fundraising success.
