A message from the RCH Foundation

Dear Friends,

As the COVID-19 situation evolves, I wanted to let you know that thanks to your generosity, The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation will continue to support sick children and their families.

This year marks 150 years of the RCH providing outstanding care to Victoria’s children. And never has this care been more important than today. The team at the RCH are working incredibly hard to protect patients and their families as we navigate this COVID-19 pandemic.

So much of the work they are able to do is only made possible thanks to philanthropy and the support of generous people like you. This drives our team at the RCH Foundation to continue working hard to support our healthcare professionals to deliver this world leading care to patients.

As this situation develops, we are all finding new ways of working and from Tuesday 24 March 2020, the RCH Foundation will operate remotely. This will help the RCH in its bid to reduce the number of people on our campus to protect the health and well being of our patients, staff and the wider community.

But what does this mean for you? The RCH Foundation remains open and is here to help. We can be reached via email or phone and have the technology in place to meet with you remotely. While we have postponed our events planned for the coming months, we will continue to monitor the situation as the year progresses.

We are still fundraising and granting these much needed funds to the RCH. Your support is vital and if you can, I invite you to consider supporting this year’s Good Friday Appeal.

It is my commitment to you that we will continue to uphold our strict governance protocols and ensure your donations continue to change the future of children’s health.

This is an uncertain time for many of us and I also wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and your family well and to share the RCH’s tips for staying healthy, which you can read on their website, here.

Please take care. I look forward to staying in touch with you over the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you have any questions at all or would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Thank you again for supporting sick children and their families. Together we will continue to change the future of our children’s health.

Warm regards,

Sue Hunt
