Raising funds to support respiratory nurses and children with tracheostomies.
Area: Frankston
The story so far
Ezy Breathing was started because Emma used to have to spend a lot of time in the hospital with her son Tyler, especially when he was little, she noticed how isolated parents with trach babies seemed to be, there was lots of support etc. For kids and families with other problems, eg heart & cancer, but nothing for these families, so after talking to the respiratory nurse and members of the auxiliaries management team she decided to form Ezy Breathing. We raise money by running a stall at the hospital in the summer holidays, trivia nights, and seeking donations. Our main event each year is our Christmas Party for trachy kids and their families, held at the hospital so inpatients can also attend if well enough. Emma also does the facepainting for the auxiliaries on Good Friday.
What we are working on
Ezy Breathing funds and manages numerous family activities during the year for trachy patients and their families. Ezy Breathing primarily raises funds through stalls and fundraising events including their annual trivia night.
