KidsCan Auxiliary

Main funding purpose: Banksia Ward

The story so far

KidsCan Auxiliary was founded in early 2020 with the mission to utilise young people in hospital to fundraise, while also creating intergenerational connections.

They have begun developing a fundraising model through school engagement, leveraging the power and passions of young Victorians. The Kilmore International School was the first institution to engage KidsCan via this model, running a schoolwide casual clothes day, and has the potential for further collaboration.

2023/2024 Auxiliary Report

After a few years’ hiatus, KidsCan is back up and running. We are very excited to begin our journey to grow our Auxiliary.

We are currently a small team of three young women who are all extremely passionate about fundraising and we are looking forward to sharing that passion with other young people. We have decided to focus our support to the Banksia Adolescent Mental Health Ward.

Our first fundraiser is organised at Bunnings Mernda. We look forward to working in collaboration with Banksia to generate funds and start conversations about mental health.
