It was ginger and spice and all things nice at the Gingerbread Village by EPICURE last December. Thanks to EPICURE and generous people like you, the Village raised over $25,700 to help sick children at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH). This incredible feat is also thanks to the support of volunteers who generously shared their time to ensure the Gingerbread Village is a success.

This year, the Gingerbread Village hopes to raise $30,000 to support sick children like Kristian.

Kristian was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour at just 16 months of age. It was the worst tumour, in the worst location and due to his age his treatment options were extremely limited. Luckily for Kristian, donations to the RCH Foundation support clinical trials to explore new ways of fighting this insidious condition.

One of Melbourne’s favourite Christmas attractions, the Gingerbread Village will be back in 2019, opening on Saturday 30 November. Held at St. Collins Lane, EPICURE’s award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Deniz Karaca and his team have painstakingly recreated iconic Melbourne landmarks like Luna Park and the MCG, using 600kg of gingerbread, 460kg of royal icing, 200kg of marzipan to bring the magical Gingerbread Village to life.
