Salta Properties provides ground breaking support

Looking around Melbourne, it wouldn’t take long to spot a life that’s been changed by Salta Properties, and that’s not just in relation to real estate. Established in 1970, this pioneering property development and former logistics business has been supporting ground-breaking innovation in medical research for almost as long as they’ve been breaking ground.

Celebrating 50 years of innovating Melbourne’s property landscape in 2020, it was only natural for Salta Properties to support The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) marking 150 years of innovating children’s healthcare. Salta Properties is proud Principal Partner of Me and UooUoo: The RCH150 Anniversary Art Trail.

“As we celebrate our 50th year in business, we understand the hard work and devotion it takes to be successful for such a great length of time. We are thrilled to be able to help commemorate and support this incredible achievement by partnering with the RCH Foundation for this truly Melbourne event,” said Sam Tarascio, Managing Director of Salta Properties.

Salta Properties work in all areas of property, including residential apartments (such as The Park House and Walmer),  as well as commercial, retail, industrial and hotel developments. After being referred by longstanding partners of the RCH Foundation, Central Equity, Salta Properties generously provided a converted office space at Nexus in Mulgrave where 12 artists brought their UooUoos to life over a three month period before the art trail.

Salta Properties continued their support through sponsoring the bright and colourful UooUoo Newtopia by artist Kubota Fumikazu which is located at Harbour Esplanade, Docklands. Their generosity continues through the donation of three incredible hampers each week, featuring award winning Taralinga Estate Olive Oil, chocolate and other treats from the private olive grove of Salta’s founding chairman, Sam Tarascio, which can be won by collecting their UooUoo on the Me and UooUoo app.

Coinciding with Salta Properties’ internal eight week step challenge, the business plan on engaging their staff by holding a family fun day centred around Me and UooUoo. The day will start at their sculpture Newtopia with a walking tour through the city spotting UooUoos before finishing with a picnic in Fitzroy Gardens.

Although it is one of the largest privately-owned companies in Australia, Salta remains at heart a family business, with strong values now passed down to its second generation of management. The Tarascio family have a long history of philanthropy, with an interest in funding ground-breaking research. Thanks to their partnership with Me and UooUoo, Salta are helping to change the future of paediatric healthcare for generations to come.
