The Gingerbread Village by EPICURE was back once again in 2021, with over 600kg of gingerbread, 460kg of royal icing and 200kg of marzipan lovingly crafted into a mini-Melbourne.
The family favourite had a new home on Level 4 of Emporium Melbourne and featured the biggest baked village to date. Iconic Melbourne landmarks like Flinders Street Station, the MCG, Luna Park and the RCH were on display, alongside the new addition – a gingerbread Emporium, complete with rooftop bees.
Thanks to the thousands of generous people who visited throughout December, the 2021 Gingerbread Village raised close to $15,000. All of the funds will go to help sick children at the RCH.
