Thanks to the generous support of the community, The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) is keeping patients engaged, connected, and educated through RCH TV.
Proudly supported by Woolworths and the Good Friday Appeal, RCH TV helps to promote children’s understanding of hospital and healthcare experiences, while also empowering children and creating a positive experience.
One aspect of RCH TV is Hospital Lingo, a live game show that airs three times a week directly to patient rooms.
“Hospital Lingo is just like bingo but with the weird and wonderful things found in hospital. The educational game distracts patients from their hospital experience, while keeping them engaged and connected. And thanks to support from the Koala Kids, there are great prizes to be won,” said Carlie Alicastro, host of Hospital Lingo.
Koala Kids have been supporting Hospital Lingo since 2021, and generously donate a range of toys for patients to win as they play along from their hospital rooms.
“I am very lucky to be able to see the kids’ faces light up with big, wide smiles when they receive their prizes. Not only do they bring joy to the children, but to their parents too. We are so grateful for Koala Kids for making these beautiful prizes possible, and for the happiness they bring to children and young people across the hospital,” Carlie added.
